چکیده

Purpose: Scapular dyskinesis is defined as alteration in scapular movements due to the loss of strength muscles; tightness soft tissues around shoulder and postural problems. Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) one therapeutic exercises improve muscles weakness pain levels. The aim this study was investigate effects a six-week PNF application on muscle strength, asymmetry, pectoralis minor (PM) participants with asymptomatic dyskinesis.
Methods: Twenty-five were evaluated using video analysis method determine dyskinesis. Eleven them diagnosed recruited for application. Lateral slide test (LSST); PM; serratus anterior (SA); lower trapezius (LT) upper (UT) evaluated. Anterior elevation-posterior depression; posterior elevation-anterior depression patterns applied repeated contractions technique by 2 times week during 6 weeks.
Results: LT (p=0.012) SA (p=0.035) increased following training, while UT similar (p>0,05). UT/SA UT/LT ratios decreased mean differences PM LSST did not exceed established MDC%95. Conclusion: balance improved training. Therefore, would be considered an alternative treatment option provide stabilization increase strength.

Comparing Scapular Position and Scapular Dyskinesis in Individuals with and without Rounded Shoulder Posture

Purpose: Altered kinematics of the scapula or scapular dyskinesis (downward rotation, anterior tilt, and protraction) contribute to impingement syndrome by decreasing the subacromial space. Given the critical role of scapular position and movement in the function of the shoulder, the aim of this study was to compare scapular position and dyskinesis in individuals with and without rounded should...

Can clinical observation differentiate individuals with and without scapular dyskinesis?

BACKGROUND Altered scapular rotation and position have been named scapular dyskinesis. Visual dynamic assessment could be applied to classify this alteration based on the clinical observation of the winging of the inferior medial scapular border (Type I) or of the prominence of the entire medial border (Type II), or by the excessive superior translation of the scapula (Type III). OBJECTIVE Th...
